Draft. This is a starting template and has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor. Have it reviewed before public launch — these terms carry real liability, especially around filing responsibility.
These terms govern your use of WebFiling ("the service"), operated by SmithyForge Ltd. By using the service you agree to them.
WebFiling helps you prepare company accounts in the required format and submit them to Companies House through its filing gateway. WebFiling is software; it is not an accountant, auditor or agent, and is not affiliated with Companies House.
Filing requires an active subscription. Fees, billing period and what's included are shown before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and manage billing through the customer portal. Statutory cancellation and refund rights apply where relevant.
The service is provided "as is". While we validate accounts against Companies House's own checks before submission, we do not guarantee that any filing will be accepted, and we are not responsible for late-filing penalties or other losses arising from information you provide, from your eligibility to file, or from matters outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
You must not misuse the service, attempt to file for companies you are not authorised to act for, or interfere with its operation or security.
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
We may update these terms; we'll post any changes on this page.
